Twitch provides creators and viewers with plenty of opportunities to join different communities and interact with as many people as possible. Streaming by itself can be a great form of entertainment for your viewers. Although, you can always take things to the next level.
Squad streaming allows even more people from different communities to join your live stream and interact with your Twitch fans. It’s also a wonderful way to grow your community and get lots of new viewers who might enjoy your content. Just remember, if you’re new to Twitch, you must make sure you have a great microphone for streaming if you don’t want to lose your followers quickly.
How to Start a Twitch Squad Stream?
Using the Squad Stream feature on Twitch allows you to join forces with 3 other creators and merge your streams into one single live video. By doing this, all of the fans that follow the 4 creators will join one live stream and can interact in a single chat.
Here is how to do a Squad Stream on Twitch:
Log in to Twitch and click on your avatar icon at the top right corner of the screen. Then, go to the Creator Dashboard and click on Stream Manager. On the right side of the screen, under Quick Actions (“+”), locate where it says Squad Stream and click on it.
The Squad Stream window will open where you can choose to invite up to 3 other creators or accept any invites for Squad Streaming that others have sent to you. To invite other streamers, you first have to make sure that they are already live and then simply click on Add a Channel.
The creators that you want to add have to meet the following criteria. They either have to be a follower of yours, they are on your friend list, or they are a teammate. Lastly, when everyone has accepted the invite all you have to do is click on Start Squad Stream. This will merge all of your audiences into one single stream.
